Skill development

All our departments provide opportunities for employees to acquire certifications relevant to their field, such as the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) qualification for accounting or a legal qualification for our legal team. Additionally, employees can pursue indirect certifications, allowing them to choose training programs and courses for continuous development. 

Work process flexibility

Our employees are encouraged to work remotely two days a week, with each department adapting flexibility policies according to the specific needs of employees and service provision. Often, our employees work from different continents, as we value their contributions regardless of location.

A family-friendly workplace

To encourage employers to take care of employees' ability to reconcile their private and professional lives, since 2020, the Society Integration Foundation has launched the "Ģimenei draudzīga darba vieta" (“Family Friendly Workplace”) programm.

The aim of the initiative is to promote the development of an empathetic, humane and understanding work environment in Latvia by offering tools to assess the existing work environment and financial assistance to implement employee support measures. BDO Latvia is proud to be a member of this initiative since 2022.
