Simona Sirsniņa

Simona Sirsniņa is the Head of the Tax Department at BDO Latvia, with more than 18 years of experience in tax advisory, with a particular focus on M&A transactions, corporate restructurings, and cross-border tax structuring. She advises investors, business owners, management teams, as well as Latvian and international companies throughout the entire transaction cycle — from tax due diligence and transaction structuring to transaction implementation, post-transaction integration, and tax risk management.

Simona’s advice focuses on the practical assessment of tax matters in the context of the client’s business and transactions. Her areas of specialization include M&A tax advisory, corporate restructurings and reorganizations, the establishment of holding and financing structures, as well as the assessment of tax risks in domestic and cross-border transactions.

Before joining BDO Latvia, Simona worked at PwC Latvia, where she advised private and family business owners on tax and financial matters. Previously, at Deloitte Latvia, she established and led the Tax M&A team, working on cross-border transactions and restructurings for clients across various industries.
Today, Simona leads and develops BDO Latvia’s tax advisory practice, with a particular focus on M&A transactions, restructurings, investments, and cross-border tax matters. She also advises clients on broader corporate tax matters, helping them assess tax risks, structure practical solutions, and make commercially sound decisions.
