BDO at the Baltic Capital Markets Conference 2025
BDO at the Baltic Capital Markets Conference 2025
BDO was pleased to participate in this year’s Baltic Capital Markets Conference 2025, which brought together financial industry professionals, regulators, and entrepreneurs from across the Baltic states. The conference focused on the region’s capital market development opportunities, current challenges, and future outlook. The event once again confirmed that the Baltic market is dynamic, well-connected, and holds strong growth potential.
The BDO team actively took part in discussions on corporate governance, sustainability, and the investment environment, sharing both practical experience and insights into emerging trends.
As one of the conference partners, BDO invited attendees to participate in an interactive survey with the question:
“How supportive is the current regulatory environment in the Baltic states for capital market growth?”
Participants could express their views by placing a magnet on a scale, indicating how supportive or restrictive, how harmonised or fragmented they believe the regulatory environment is.
The survey results showed that most participants consider the Baltic regulatory environment generally supportive, though not yet fully aligned across the three states. This reflects a positive trajectory while highlighting the need for deeper cooperation and coordination at the regional level.

“This year’s conference demonstrated significant growth and professional maturity. The profiles of the organisers, speakers, and participants clearly showed that the Baltic financial ecosystem is in good hands and developing rapidly. Listing state-owned enterprises on the stock exchange is an important step forward — it will increase the size and liquidity of the capital market, attract foreign capital and investment, and ultimately support economic growth and stability across the Baltics.”
BDO UK Corporate Finance Director Ryan Biscomb
“This year’s conference was more impressive than ever. It was great to see so much positive energy, determination, and forward momentum. Baltic entrepreneurs stand out with their unique blend of ambition and practicality. If the next decade belongs to agile and well-governed mid-market companies, the Baltic states are very well positioned. I hope to see more Baltic businesses in London soon.”
The conference served as an excellent platform for networking and exchanging ideas, once again confirming that the Baltic capital market is becoming increasingly unified and ready for its next phase of growth.
